How to Download and Import Assets using PXL READY's Extension

Download and Import System Overview:

We've created a smooth and easy system for you to download and import assets directly inside Adobe Premiere Pro and Adobe After Effects.

 

Asset Display:

  • You can simply hover over an asset to show its details:
    • Title
    • Asset ID
    • Asset's Collection Name
    • Download Icon
  • On Pexels - Videos and Pexels - Photos, the asset will have different information:
    • Photos/Video Creator Name
    • Resolution
    • Frames per Second (For Pexels - Videos)
    • Asset's Collection Name
    • Download Icon
  • When you hover over any video preview, it will start playing for you to check the asset before downloading.
  • Top Bar of the preview: You will find details for each asset, such as its type, format, resolution, aspect ratio, and if it has an alpha channel.

 

 

Download Process:

  • Click on the download Icon on the bottom right of the asset you want to download.
  • A progress bar and percentage will appear for you to check the progress of the download.
  • Below them, you will find a cancel button. When clicked, you will cancel and delete any related file to the download progress.
  • Once the download is done, the download icon will switch to a "+" import icon.
  • On the top left and right, you will find 2 new icons: Delete and favorites.
  • You can find the downloaded asset inside each collection or on the downloads page.

Note: Download Icon is located on the right when viewing audio assets.

 

 

Delete Process:

  • If you want to delete a downloaded asset from your database folder, simply click on the delete icon on the top left.
  • All related files will be deleted immediately.

Favorites Process:

  • When you click on the favorites icon on the top right of the downloaded asset, you can find them later on inside the favorites page.

Import Process:

  • Templates:
    • Mogrt (Motion Graphics Templates):
      • Mogrt files will be imported directly in your sequence on your top track. Please make sure it is empty to avoid overwriting.
    • prproj (Premiere Pro Projects):
      • prproj files will be imported directly, and the sequence will open automatically. You can find these files inside PXL READY's Folder, in Templates.
    • aep (After Effects Projects):
      • aep files will be imported directly, and the composition will open automatically. You can find these files inside PXL READY's Folder, in Templates.
  • Presets:
    • ffx (After Effects Presets):
      • ffx files will be imported directly into your composition. All you have to do is select a layer, and when you click "+", the extension will create an adjustment layer and add the imported preset inside it, on top of the selected layer.
    • prfpset (Premiere Pro Presets):
      • prfpset files cannot be imported automatically into premiere. When you click "+", it will open a finder window to show you where the preset is located.
      • Right-click on presets (inside Effects & Presets Panel), then click on import presets.
      • Select the preset, and click import.
      • You will find your preset inside the effects & presets panel in the Presets folder.
      • You can create a folder called PXL READY, to organize all the downloaded presets for future use.
      • Note: Hover over any preset to find the recommended adjustment layer length.
  • Motion Graphics:
    • Motion graphics files are usually mov or mp4.
    • Premiere Pro:
      • When you import motion graphics files, you can find them inside your project panel in PXL READY's folder in Motion Graphics.
    • After Effects:
      • Motion graphics files will be imported directly inside your composition. You can find these files inside PXL READY's Folder, in Motion Graphics.
  • Pexels - Videos:
    • Pexels - Videos files are usually mov or mp4.
    • Premiere Pro:
      • When you import video files, you can find them inside your project panel in PXL READY's folder in Pexels - Videos.
    • After Effects:
      • Video files will be imported directly inside your composition. You can find these files inside PXL READY's Folder, in Pexels - Videos.
  • Graphics:
    • Graphics files are usually png, jpg, ai or psd.
    • Premiere Pro:
      • When you import graphics files, you can find them inside your project panel in PXL READY's folder in Graphics.
    • After Effects:
      • Graphics files will be imported directly inside your composition. You can find these files inside PXL READY's Folder, in Graphics.
  • Pexels - Photos:
    • Pexels - Photos files are usually png or jpg.
    • Premiere Pro:
      • When you import Photo files, you can find them inside your project panel in PXL READY's folder in Pexels - Photos.
    • After Effects:
      • Photo files will be imported directly inside your composition. You can find these files inside PXL READY's Folder, in Pexels - Photos.
  • Sound Effects:
    • SFX files are usually wav or mp3.
    • Premiere Pro:
      • When you import SFX files, you can find them inside your project panel in PXL READY's folder in Sound Effects.
    • After Effects:
      • SFX files will be imported directly inside your composition. You can find these files inside PXL READY's Folder, in Sound Effects.
  • Music:
    • Music files are usually wav or mp3.
    • Premiere Pro:
      • When you import Music files, you can find them inside your project panel in PXL READY's folder in Music.
    • After Effects:
      • Music files will be imported directly inside your composition. You can find these files inside PXL READY's Folder, in Music.
